Frank,
I would suggest the following codes from the 2007 list as possibilities for you in the order I think might best apply. Remember that if more than one applies, you may list multiple codes. Consider the intent of the work, and the system's definitions of the code usage. While the definitions are not explained in detail on the website, a little extra research might get you zeroed-in on the appropriate use. Librarians are always a good choice to ask for advice as well.

I am new to the BISAC business and am trying to find a suitable code for a book on English for Spanish Speakers that is written in Spanish. I have looked through the codes and can't find a suitable one. I had a 2007 list. Is a new one out? Any ideas? Thanks

I have had the pleasure of hearing many of Mr. Rama's humorist essays and must say those along with "Trivia Mania"are most delightful reading. They always tickle the funny bone. Thank you Mr. Rama.

I stumbled across this blog entry, and decided to read it. Don't feel alone. As we get older, we go on tangents. That's life. You are defined by your tangents. Take comfort in them. Sometimes they get extremely bizarre. Some people make a hobby out of building miniature radio controlled steamboats. However, I think sharing your thoughts is excellent. In addition to writing, draw a few doodles and post them, or anything!

I was reluctant to read THE JOY LUCK CLUB again having already read it before about five years ago. I am a slow reader, with so many books passing through my hands and unknown-to-me authors often being discovered through other books - that my reading time feels so precious and a re-read is a rarity.
I did feel compelled to set an example in my library by getting into the book once again. While I had to stop at page 157 it was good to step into that very special world where a writing artist such as Tan can present characters through voice and gesture, and invite one in to share an experience, and be enriched.
I will likely not go to China, and have not had any language but English in the home I was brought up in. My mother had no dark secrets that became uncloseted after her death. Yet, my human experience has room for Tan's suggestions, and her ability to drop puzzle tokens in a story path, has lead me in to a tale of worthwhile treasures.

So.........did it work? Years ago a friend, who manufactured natureopathic medicines, came to me with a box of "meds" and 28 bags full of magic powder. I am here so they worked.......does your wife have insights as to herbs that may assist me against that which is ailing me? Take care. Terry</p>

Well,Linda,
Inspired by your thoughts, I just inventoried my own partial office space in the attic room. Three copies of tax documents on the floor to be signed(ours, the feds, and state), Family calendar, my activity calendar, quarterly statements of investments, two bills to be paid, fishing regulations to be read, specifications for contract job to be followed, various items to be incorporated into volunteer presentation for master gardeners, documentation that I am waiting for my analog digital converter box coupon, and at least three other volunteer projects involving multiple documents. This is just on the surface, not the standing wall of books and folders, nor the file cabinet. Paperless office was a cruel joke of an idea, applicable only to people who do nothing but email and cruise the internet. I recycle my paper twice, printing both sides so it is well-used before going to recycling. This is modern life. Get used to it. Anybody want to read some used computer magazines?

I can really relate to this. I love to write, but I am an expert at finding distractions to keep me from it. Checking email, eating, cleaning my desk, surfing the Internet, playing with the dog, looking out the window... ut-oh, now that you have a window with a view at your desk...

It's about time something is blamed on hormones in the male species. Now we just need to introduce men to PMS and hot flashes so they will have a viable excuse for their "senseless violence and destructive impulses."

I can just see it now… “Honey, I tore down your flower bed today to make room for my bass boat. I didn’t mean too, but I was feeling a little bloated and irritable, and had cramps…”

Good one Clair! Although I would think being a man yourself, you could be a little more understanding of the buck's actions... he was probably just having a bad hair day!

This reader wasn't warned this would be a sad commentary! At least I was led gently to the concluding remarks although there was one important phrase left out: "Grrr!"
